From his early interactions with U.S. government figures to his collaborations with renowned spiritual leaders like the Dalai Lama and Pope John Paul II, Dr. Warter’s global influence has been profound. World Leaders Relations and Global Engagements

Dr. Warter has maintained an active and dynamic relationship with prominent world leaders and institutions throughout his career.

Since his medical school days, he was a guest of the U.S. State Department and the Kennedy family, which marked the beginning of his high-level international engagements. In 1976, he met with President Jimmy Carter and Vice President Mondale, strengthening his ties with the U.S. government.

He further expanded his global connections by meeting the Maharani of Pathiala and the Head of Parliament in India in 1977.

Throughout his career, Dr. Warter has developed personal relationships with major spiritual leaders of various denominations. Notably, he was received by His Holiness Pope John Paul II in 1986 and 1997.

He has also visited Dharamsala, India, multiple times, meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. His connection with spiritual figures extends to meeting with Sai Baba, Mother Teresa, and Archbishop Gregorios, where he discussed global cooperation, holism, and new thinking.

Global Peace Initiatives and International Collaboration

In 1985, Dr. Warter aligned his work with the United Nations University for Peace, forging a relationship with former Costa Rican President Dr. Rodrigo Carazo. Together, they co-sponsored an international peace event in Buenos Aires in April 1986.

Dr. Warter’s commitment to global peace was further demonstrated through his support for public service initiatives, including joint activities with former First Lady Nidia de Turbay in Colombia for orphanages.

Dr. Warter’s involvement in global peace efforts continued with notable events, including his participation in the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. He was present at the Global Forum’s Parliamentary Summit, alongside former U.S. Vice President Al Gore.

In Argentina, he participated in joint congressional sessions with the Dalai Lama. Dr. Warter also keynoted at the 1993 Global Forum Meeting in Kyoto, where he presented his views on mental health in a new civilization. His relationship with former President Mikhail Gorbachev continued through his involvement in major international forums, including the State of the World Forum in 1995 and 2000 in San Francisco and New York.

Advisory Roles and Contributions to Global Development

Dr. Warter has served on the advisory boards of several esteemed organizations. The World Health Foundation for Development & Peace (WHFP) attracted prominent figures such as Willis Harman from Noetic Sciences, Dr. T.A. Lambo, former Assistant Secretary General of the World Health Organization (WHO), actress Shirley MacLaine, and former Costa Rican President Dr. Rodrigo Carazo, who also founded the University for Peace under the United Nations. Other notable individuals included Alexander King, former President of the Club of Rome, and Chancellor Enrique Iglesias, now the President of the Inter-American Development Bank.

The World Health Foundation for Development & Peace is recognized as a correspondent organization to the Société de la Recherche de la France Contemporaine, directed by Prince Henri d’Orléans, and to the Center for Studies of Human Evolution in Italy. Dr. Warter’s work continues to have a profound impact on the promotion of peace, development, and global cooperation.
